Did you know that Dorset Scrapstore can run a creative workshop at your school, premises, or event? These can be purely for fun, or themed to National Curriculum or seasonal topics of your choice. Created and run by volunteers, our workshops cleverly include a wide range of learning outcomes.
- Family Style Workshop
- Make & Take
- Skills Workshop (for adults who work with children)
Our Family Style workshops encourage adults and children to work together producing an item through a shared experience. This is a seated workshop, suitable for up to 30 children (plus accompanying adult). It is essential that we know the childrens gender and ages in advance so that we can tailor the activities. These workshops can be adapted for school classes and youth groups.
Make & Take
These workshops are suitable for events where other activities are also taking place, such as a play day, fundraiser, festival, or school fete. We will set up a stall and run craft activities, so each child will spend a few minutes creating one or two items to take with them.
We can visit your school, group, or premises to run a skills workshop on INSET days or for staff training. We can train teachers, support workers, playtime supervisors, group leaders and childminders to use our materials.

Workshops cost £60 per hour, based on a minimum of 2 hours, and payable prior to the event.
